History
Founded about the year 985CE by monks investigating odd occurrences on a small mountain top. It was developed into a semi-secret stronghold of the Order.
Layout
As can be seen in the graphic there are typical buildings inside the walls such as a stable, living quarters, a refractory, animal pens, etc. There is also a 5 story tower with administrative offices and a 3 story structure to it's right. To the right of that is an open area with a path leading up to a cave entrance. The caves contain a number of plain monastic cells
used for meditation. Stairs to the right of the cave entrance lead to a winding path up to the mountain top.
The Caves
The monastic cells are dug into existing caves. The caves however stretch far back into the mountain top. A locked door keeps out the unwary. The caves appear to be infinitely long. Eventually one should come to an end at the other side of the mountain top but that does not happen. Few who have ever gone exploring have ever returned. Some ethereal entity calls them home.
The Residents
Ebian Gap has 5 priests, 25 monks, 10 acolytes and 10 others. About 50 in total.
